In this role, you’ll contribute to the sustainment and operational readiness of U.S. Navy Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) capabilities, working alongside engineers and operators to deliver resilient, forward-leaning solutions in support of national defense. About the role: As an SSDS MK 2 Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational readiness of U.S. Navy combat systems supporting the Fleet. Working onsite at Wallops Island, VA, you will perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, system monitoring, and operational support for Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) MK 2 platforms and associated Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) equipment. Your work directly supports mission execution by ensuring complex combat system hardware and software remain fully operational, reliable, and ready to support testing, training, and fleet modernization efforts. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced Navy professionals and engineers while supporting one of the Navy's premier integrated combat systems.
