Position Overview Underwrite, manage and grow a portfolio of technical risk property accounts.
Requirements
- 5 years of underwriting experience involving heavy industrial/technical risks including oil, petrochemical, chemical, steel and power generation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Comfortable with change and new technologies.
- Strong analytical skills, especially Excel.
Responsibilities
- Develop new & maintain existing producer contacts through regular producer visits.
- Monthly reporting of Technical Risk Property’s rate activity for your accounts.
- Manage a book of Technical Risk accounts in accordance with Starr Tech’s underwriting standards.
- Travel to and complete marketing/sales meeting in assigned territories within the region.
- Review profitability and discuss/propose corrective action plans for underperforming accounts in the portfolio.
- Identify and underwrite new business accounts in accordance with Starr Tech’s underwriting standards.
- Arrange account engineering service.
