About The Position

Solaris Energy Infrastructure, Inc. (NYSE:SEI) provides scalable equipment-based solutions for use in distributed power generation as well as the management of raw materials used in the completion of oil and natural gas wells. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Solaris serves multiple U.S. end markets, including energy, data centers, and other commercial and industrial sectors. As a Senior Turbine Specialist, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our electrical turbines, optimize performance, and maintain system integrity. You will lead advanced troubleshooting, implement maintenance strategies, and leverage your expertise to train new hires. This role includes travel to customer sites to oversee equipment performance and provide expert support.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ year of gas turbine controls/instrumentation/electrical experience required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex troubleshooting efforts for turbine systems, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Develop and implement long-term maintenance strategies and schedules to maximize turbine efficiency and lifespan.
  • Manage and coordinate major turbine installation, upgrade, and repair projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Analyze turbine performance data to identify trends and opportunities for performance enhancement and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards; lead audits and inspections to maintain compliance.
  • Provide high-level technical guidance and expertise to engineering teams, addressing complex technical issues and providing solutions.
  • Drive the development and implementation of new technologies, methodologies, and best practices to enhance turbine performance and reliability.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, operations, and safety, to integrate turbine systems with overall plant operations and objectives.
  • Mentor and train junior specialists and technicians, sharing knowledge and fostering skills development within the team.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with turbine operations, implementing preventive measures to avoid potential failures or safety issues.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of detailed documentation and reports on turbine performance, maintenance activities, and project outcomes.
