About The Position

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you’ll join a global organization at the forefront of clinical research and laboratory science. In partnership with PPD, we support the world’s leading pharmaceutical and biotech organizations—successfully delivering over 2,700 clinical trials across 100+ countries in the past five years. Join our collaborative team as a Senior Training Specialist, where you'll advance critical initiatives that enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. This is a fully remote role supporting our Global Central Laboratories. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening. The Senior Training Specialist is responsible for delivering training programs that support Global Central Laboratory operations, ensuring alignment with clinical trial requirements and standardized processes. This role partners cross-functionally to drive effective, scalable, and audit-ready training solutions across global client delivery teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 7+ years) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
  • Previous experience as project manager in central laboratory or clinical research environment strongly preferred
  • Strong science and/or business acumen
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Superior time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Demonstrated compliance with procedures and policies
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively in a stressful environment
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Project Management
  • Ability to work effectively with multi-level teams
  • Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.
  • Able to work upright and stationary for typical working hours.
  • Ability to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency.
  • Ability to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.

Responsibilities

  • Implement training programs for central lab workflows, systems, and SOPs
  • Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning content
  • Manage training curricula and compliance
  • Ensure alignment with GxP, clinical, and quality requirements
  • Track and report training metrics; drive continuous improvement
  • Partner with SMEs, QA, and Operations to support global training initiatives
