About The Position

emergiTEL is hiring a Sr Test Specialist User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Coordinator for our client in the Information Technology Services industry. This is a contract position with a duration of 10 months, offering a pay rate of $55 - $59.00/hour. The role is based in Cambridge, ON, but is remote. The primary responsibility is to own the business-side User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycle for Salesforce releases. This involves coordinating between business process teams, IT delivery teams, and business users who serve as testers. The role requires converting business requirements and process designs into practical test scenarios and scripts, providing a clear go/no-go readiness recommendation for releases, and ensuring complete test coverage, tester readiness, disciplined defect management, and timely reporting.

Requirements

Hands-on experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for enterprise application releases.
Experience with test scenario creation, execution tracking, defect triage, and reporting.
Working knowledge of Salesforce, including standard objects, record types, profiles, permission sets, and sandbox environments.
Ability to train and support non-technical business users.
Experience developing training materials, job aids, and user support documentation.
Strong communication, organization, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Translate business requirements, process designs, user stories, and acceptance criteria into end-to-end UAT scenarios and scripts.
Develop and maintain requirement-to-test traceability and identify coverage gaps.
Define required test data, user profiles, permission sets, and environment prerequisites.
Coordinate with IT to ensure testing environments are properly prepared and refreshed.
Maintain a reusable regression testing library across releases.
Identify and engage appropriate business testers across functions, regions, and business units.
Deliver tester onboarding and training on scenario execution, result documentation, defect logging, and testing tools.
Create job aids, quick reference guides, walkthrough materials, and recordings.
Conduct office hours and daily support sessions during UAT execution.
Ensure tester readiness and resolve testing blockers promptly.
Develop and manage UAT plans, schedules, entry criteria, exit criteria, and escalation processes.
Assign test scenarios and monitor execution progress.
Rebalance testing assignments as required to maintain coverage and timelines.
Facilitate recurring status meetings with business stakeholders, IT teams, and release management.
Maintain current status, risk, issue, and decision logs.
Support stakeholder engagement to ensure testing commitments are met.
Review, validate, prioritize, and de-duplicate defects before submitting them to IT teams.
Coordinate defect resolution, retesting, and closure activities.
Differentiate between defects, process gaps, training issues, and enhancement requests.
Provide actionable reporting on test coverage, execution status, pass/fail rates, defects, and residual risks.
Deliver final UAT sign-off recommendations, including deployment conditions, workarounds, and deferred items.
