About The Position

Based onsite in El Segundo, CA, you’ll work first shift (6:00 AM – 3:30 PM) in a collaborative manufacturing environment. Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in precision inspection or quality testing
• Proficient with manual measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, gauge pins, blocks
• Hands-on experience with articulated arm-style portable CMMs (e.g., FARO arm, Romer Arm)
• Experience with bridge-style CMM operation and programming (e.g., Brown & Sharpe, Hexagon)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to AS9100 quality systems in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with inspection documentation processes and statistical data analysis

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspection of machined, fabricated, and assembled components to verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Operate and program coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) including articulated arm (FARO, Romer) and bridge-style (Brown & Sharpe, Hexagon) equipment
• Use manual measuring tools such as height gauges, dial indicators, gauge pins, micrometers, calipers, and gauge blocks to assess part quality
• Interpret blueprints, technical specifications, GD&T (ASME Y14.5), and inspection plans
• Identify, document, and communicate defects, deviations, and out-of-tolerance conditions to engineering and operations teams
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area per site requirements
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve process control and reduce discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and site/customer quality standards
