About The Position
Our client, an established electronic security systems integrator, is seeking an experienced Installation & Service Technician to support commercial customers throughout Northern Nevada. The role combines installation, programming, troubleshooting, and servicing of commercial electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience installing, servicing, or programming commercial electronic security systems is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with access control, CCTV/IP video, and intrusion systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with electronic hardware, software, and networking.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Ability to work independently on installation projects and service calls.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Northern Nevada.
Nice To Haves
- Access control experience with Lenel, Software House, Genetec, AMAG, or S2.
- Video surveillance experience with Genetec, Milestone, or IP camera systems.
- Intrusion system experience with DMP or Bosch.
- Experience with networking, system integration, programming, and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, test, commission, troubleshoot, and service commercial electronic security systems.
- Work with access control, CCTV/IP video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system integration issues.
- Respond to service calls, preventative maintenance requests, and emergency repairs.
- Perform system upgrades, equipment replacements, and modifications to existing installations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Complete system start-ups, testing, commissioning, and customer training.
- Coordinate with project managers, other technicians, and customers to ensure successful project completion.
- Maintain accurate service reports, installation documentation, and project records.
