About The Position

The Senior Technical Project Manager will lead delivery of mission-critical cloud and IT deployments that power emergency communications for public safety agencies across the United States. The role oversees implementations from kickoff through go-live, coordinating technical and operational resources across Axon 911, its partners, and customers. As the primary technical liaison, the project manager works with engineering, product, implementation teams, and public safety stakeholders to define technical requirements, drive cloud deployments and system integrations, and ensure smooth production cutovers. The position combines technical expertise and project leadership, builds trusted customer relationships, and supports solutions for first responders and their communities. This is a fully remote role open to candidates residing in the United States. Domestic travel to support project execution and client success may be up to 20% or more.

Requirements

PMP or CAPM certification.
At least 5 years of experience managing global technical projects, preferably in a B2B SaaS, IT, or cloud services company.
Experience leading cross-functional teams through cloud or hybrid infrastructure implementations.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking concepts, and cloud deployment models such as AWS and Azure.
Proven ability to translate customer needs into actionable technical plans.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup culture and confidently interface with technical and executive stakeholders.
Willingness to travel domestically to support project execution and client success, up to 20% or more.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ESInet and NG911 i3-compliant technologies.
Familiarity with systems used by PSAPs or other emergency services.
Hands-on experience managing projects involving cloud-native architectures or real-time communication platforms.
Demonstrated ability using AI tools, cross-platform integrations, and innovative tools.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end deployment of cloud-based platforms, including system configuration, testing, and go-live support.
Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to implement scalable, secure, and resilient IT solutions for public safety.
Create and manage project and technical implementation plans, including infrastructure readiness, data flows, and failover testing.
Coordinate with DevOps, R&D, and Solution Architects to align product capabilities with deployment requirements.
Manage stakeholder expectations, proactively resolve issues, and ensure delivery of project milestones.
Facilitate system handovers to customer IT teams and lead onboarding or training when required.
Identify post-deployment support needs and opportunities to optimize or add services.
