About The Position

Join Rockford Manufacturing as a Sr. Technical Project Manager and play a pivotal role in bringing cutting-edge products to life. You will be the driving force representing Manufacturing/Operations on New Product Introduction (NPI) core teams, ensuring seamless technical transfer and successful production launches. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or operations project management.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, and ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, V-Lookups) and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as PRMS or E1.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, relationship building, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive accountability across teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Familiarity with Design Excellence methodologies: Six Sigma, DFSS, DOE.
  • Experience with statistical analysis software (JMP, Minitab).
  • Knowledge of global manufacturing environments and cross-site collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Manufacturing and Operations on NPI core teams, serving as a key liaison among stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and documented transfer processes.
  • Lead manufacturing process design reviews and risk assessments to ensure operational readiness.
  • Maintain and report on the Manufacturability Index and Operations status.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and reviews for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document and implement product infrastructure, SKUs, and process improvements.
  • Facilitate proactive cross-functional collaboration to drive project goals and milestones.
  • Champion continuous improvement and risk mitigation throughout the NPI lifecycle.
