About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazing AEGIS Based Defense Futures Engineering Sr Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be part of a talented and mission oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers and Contract staff who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get missile defense capability out to the Fleet. Requirements

US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline specifically related to area of specialty
10+ years of related professional experience
Mastery of MS Office suite and familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence or Teams
Missile System Experience

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in STEM Field
12+ Years experience
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Prior experience with Weapons Systems Deployment
Experience with Missile Systems Engineering
Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.

Responsibilities

Assist the ABE Future Systems Architect in executing future capability studies, agile process development, and project execution using digital engineering tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, Cameo).
Provides Aegis technical assessment of working groups related to threat environments and navy focused studies.
Generate and provide technical assistance for projects to address modeling and simulation, algorithm/software updates, and as the Scrum Lead.
Develop working level and Executive level briefings on project topics and planned improvement programs.
Collaborates with internal and external AB organizations on topics relevant to areas of responsibility.
