About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Systems Administrator to provide expertise and leadership for our Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment. This role involves acting as a Subject Matter Expert for all VDI-related issues, supporting ticket escalations during major outages, and contributing to strategic planning with development partners. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, leading the onboarding of new enclaves, and interacting with Tier III support and vendors. Responsibilities also include developing and monitoring policies for computing resource allocation, creating and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures, applying security settings, and providing coaching to junior technical staff.

• Integration of cyber security tools and systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems highly desired.
• Thorough knowledge of networking principles to include TCP/IP a plus.
• Experience with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow
• ITIL v3 Foundation certified

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment.
• Lead as the Subject Matter Expert on all VDI related issues/needs.
• Provide support for ticket escalation on major outages.
• Be able to work in a rapid paced environment at times.
• Provide strategic leadership and input with development partners to ensure customers understand emerging needs and technological advancements.
• Lead the onboarding and standup of new enclaves and environments as needed.
• Interacts with Tier III support and evaluates vendor products.
• Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
• Creates, maintains, and implements detailed documentation and maintains standard operating procedures.
• Application of security settings and other commercial best practices.
• Provides coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff.
