About The Position

Visa is hiring a Senior Software Engineer focused on GoldenGate replication. Software Development Engineers design, implement, and improve software applications and systems, spending approximately 60–75% of their time coding. They work with code, data, and modern tools—including AI-assisted development, cloud services, and automation frameworks—to deliver secure, scalable, high-quality technology solutions. They collaborate with cross-functional teams and follow best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements. All roles require digital fluency, including use of emerging technologies such as generative AI tools. This role designs and supports data replication schemas between HP NonStop mainframes and open-system databases, including MS SQL Server and Oracle. It uses Oracle GoldenGate for unidirectional and bidirectional replication and involves configuring, administering, and troubleshooting GoldenGate components, including Extract, Replicat, Trails, Manager, and Microservices. The engineer also supports HP NonStop Guardian and OSS environments, troubleshoots applications, tunes performance, and works with NonStop file-system tools. The position contributes to system design and architecture, software implementation, testing, code reviews, documentation, operational support, and automation improvements. It collaborates with stakeholders to interpret requirements, incorporate feedback, estimate project work, and escalate issues. The role participates in on-call rotations and incident response, and ensures adherence to enterprise security, audit, and operational standards. This is a hybrid position requiring at least three days in the office; specific office days will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager. The role is performed in an office setting and requires travel 5–10% of the time. Work hours vary with department needs. Visa accepts applications for this role until at least 11-30-2026.
