About The Position

The Mainframe DB2 Replication Engineer designs, installs, configures, and maintains DB2 replication solutions across mainframe and distributed platforms. The role builds and manages source-to-target replication pipelines, configures capture processes, apply processes, and control servers, and implements unidirectional and bidirectional replication as well as real-time and near-real-time data synchronization. The engineer troubleshoots data inconsistencies, replication failures, queue backlogs, and network interruptions; performs root cause analysis and corrective actions; and provides L2/L3 production incident support. The role also tunes replication processes to reduce latency, optimize resource usage, minimize impacts on source systems, and improve data capture, apply performance, and network usage. The position supports integration among DB2 z/OS, DB2 LUW, distributed databases, message queues, and ETL platforms, working with DBAs, application teams, and data engineering and BI teams. Kyndryl provides access to learning programs and certification opportunities, along with a volunteering and giving platform and employee benefits intended to support employees and their families.
