About The Position

Memorial Hospital, Belleville is seeking a Senior Supply Distribution Technician to oversee daily management of medical materials—including supplies, equipment, and linen—for hospital departments. The position handles receiving, inventory processing, order coordination, stocking, supply-room organization, and customer service. It also reviews supply usage and par levels with department staff, supports improvement initiatives and audits, and helps train and mentor Supply Technicians. The role requires maintaining a safety-focused environment in compliance with BJC, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of experience.
• Ability to perform all core Supply Technician competencies.
• Ability to apply lean supply philosophy and perform basic analytics using Microsoft products and supply chain management system tools.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in Management or Logistics.
• 5–10 years of experience.
• Less than 2 years of supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify received items and quantities; process receipts in the inventory management system; handle returns to vendor (RTVs); tag and label items; and stage them for delivery.
• Review reports and collaborate with department staff to adjust par levels, identify improvement opportunities, maintain the standardized community supply model, and assist with just-in-time room audits.
• Process stock and non-stock orders in inventory management systems and coordinate with procurement to resolve order issues, RTVs, discrepancies, match exceptions, recalls, and vendor returns.
• Provide daily oversight of material functions while maintaining a safety-focused environment compliant with BJC, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards.
• Clean and organize supply rooms and perform related housekeeping functions.
• Oversee medical supplies, equipment, and linen for multiple departments; review item par levels and usage with department leadership; optimize bins; and assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking materials.
• Assist with manufacturer recall notifications and usage investigations.
• Apply lean supply philosophy and perform basic analytics using Microsoft products and supply chain management system tools.
• Assist in training, mentoring, and developing Supply Technicians.
• Help with OR breakdown on the dock.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed, such as linen putaway.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
