About The Position

REI seeks a Sr. Store Sales Specialist to represent the Co-op and engage with REI Members and Customers. The role requires broad knowledge of products, equipment, assortments, and services, along with initiative and productivity to help guide Retail Sales Specialists. The position is suited to someone passionate about the outdoors and committed to REI’s values. The specialist supports sales and service, store readiness, merchandise handling, visual presentations, inventory and pricing accuracy, and staff training. The role also partners with Department Managers to meet goals and daily expectations.

Requirements

Retail sales and customer service experience is preferred.
Open availability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

Participate in REI Sales and Service Training to drive sales.
Prepare the store by stocking, coordinating the stocking process, and handling merchandise.
Adjust visual presentations to reflect inventory levels, new products, and promotions.
Monitor inventory accuracy, price accuracy, and product stock levels.
Train and mentor new staff.
Partner with Department Managers to achieve goals and daily expectations.
Engage with REI Members and Customers and provide knowledge about products, equipment, assortments, and services.
