About The Position

REI seeks a Sr. Store Sales Specialist to serve as a customer-facing member of the Co-op team. The role involves engaging with REI Members and Customers, sharing knowledge of products, equipment, assortments, and services, and helping guide Retail Sales Specialists. The position supports store sales and service, merchandise and inventory operations, visual presentations, and staff development. The role is suited to someone passionate about the outdoors who brings an authentic approach and works in alignment with REI’s values.

Requirements

Retail sales and customer service experience is preferred.
Open availability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

Participate in REI Sales and Service Training to drive sales.
Prepare the store by stocking, coordinating the stocking process, and handling merchandise.
Adjust visual presentations based on inventory levels, new products, and promotions.
Monitor inventory accuracy, price accuracy, and product stock levels.
Train and mentor new staff.
Partner with Department Managers to achieve goals and daily expectations.
Engage with REI Members and Customers and share knowledge of products, equipment, assortments, and services.
Help guide Retail Sales Specialists.
