About The Position

The Senior Staffing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring supplemental and agency staffing activities. This role is accountable for clinical pool and agency staffing, intradepartmental and interdepartmental activities, process improvement activities, and fiscal control. The Senior Staffing Coordinator will plan appropriate pool and agency staffing practices by maximizing resource utilization, forecasting and anticipating employee needs of the unit with regard to patient workload fluctuations, and maintaining staffing at agreed-upon budgetary standards. This position will also assist management with policy and procedure implementation and maintenance, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and maintain competency in safety standards. The coordinator will communicate with units daily to determine staffing needs, participate in short and long-term planning for unit staffing, and conduct operations with minimal supervision. Additionally, they will provide timekeeping educational support for management and end-users, assist with departmental and interdepartmental orientation and training, and maintain master staffing sheets, schedules, manpower reports, and PTO requests. Ensuring timekeeping standards are within policy and accurately transferring information regarding cancellations, absences, sick time, and PTO onto the master schedule are key responsibilities. The role also involves maintaining the rotation of holiday staffing for all disciplines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain master staffing sheets, schedules, manpower reports, and PTO requests.
  • Ensure that timekeeping standards are within policy standards as applicable.
  • Transfer information (cancellations, absences, sick time, PTO) onto the master schedule and verify accuracy.
  • Maintain rotation of holiday staffing for all disciplines (RN, Patient Care Support, etc.) as applicable.
