About The Position

The Access Security team is building the intelligence layer for the ServiceNow Veza Identity solution, helping enterprises understand who and what can access critical resources. The team turns complex identity and access data into actionable insights so customers can uncover risky access, prioritize remediation, and reduce exposure. The Sr Staff Backend Engineer will architect, design, develop, optimize, and maintain Access Security features that use AI to improve access intelligence, risk detection, and remediation workflows. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to build secure, scalable backend services and AI-assisted workflows that operate reliably in enterprise environments. It calls for expertise in Go and Python, practical AI integration experience, and leadership in architecting high-performance services. The engineer will help shape solutions with product, design, and engineering leaders; champion responsible use of AI capabilities; contribute across architecture, quality, performance, and code reviews; mentor engineers; and own feature delivery from design through release and ongoing operational stability.
