Sr Software Engineer - Agent Identity Security - Veza

About The Position

Veza is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, to help design, develop, and maintain its Agent Identity Security product. The team works on securing AI agents and copilots across enterprise systems, including agent discovery, action tracking, access management, and runtime authorization. The role focuses on building a scalable identity security solution for agents deployed across applications and systems, and contributing to product development at the intersection of identity and access management and AI. The engineer will collaborate with product management, engineering teams, and security experts to turn complex security challenges into production-grade features. The position includes ownership of the feature lifecycle from concept and design through deployment, monitoring, and maintenance, and using AI techniques and tools to advance the product. Veza is part of ServiceNow, combining Veza’s Access Graph with ServiceNow’s AI Control Tower and agentic workflows.

Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
At least 3 years of backend software development experience, with a focus on APIs, microservices architecture, or related areas.
Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Go or Java.
Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and familiarity with IAM services and features.
Interest in distributed systems, including designing, developing, debugging, and monitoring them.

Nice To Haves

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, and distributed systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong sense of product feature ownership from ideation to deployment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and scale an identity security solution for AI agents across different applications and systems.
Collaborate with product management, engineering teams, and security experts to develop robust, scalable, production-grade features.
Own features throughout their lifecycle, from concept and design through deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
Use AI techniques and tools to advance and strengthen the Agent Security product.
