Sr Software Engineer - Agent Identity Security - Veza
About The Position
Veza is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to help design, develop, and maintain its Agent Identity Security product. The team is advancing identity governance and security for non-human identities and AI agents as they expand across enterprise systems. Its work includes discovering agents, tracking their actions, and developing access management and runtime authorization capabilities. The role focuses on addressing access risks posed by AI agents and building a scalable identity security solution for agents deployed across applications and systems. The engineer will partner with product management, engineering teams, and security experts, own features throughout their lifecycle, and use AI techniques and tools to strengthen the product.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of backend software development experience, focused on APIs, microservices architecture, or related areas.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Golang or Java.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and familiarity with IAM services and features.
- Interest in distributed systems, including designing, developing, debugging, and monitoring them.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, and distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong product feature ownership from ideation through deployment.

- Collaborate with product management, engineering teams, and security experts to turn security challenges into robust, scalable, production-grade features.
- Own the feature lifecycle from concept and design through deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Use AI techniques and tools to advance and strengthen the Agent Security product.
