About The Position

Illumina is seeking a Sr Staff Business Systems Analyst to act as a Solution Architect for the design, build, and end-to-end delivery of SAP Global Trade (GTS) system implementations, enhancements, and digital transformation initiatives. The role advises on standard SAP solution design and configuration, assesses the effects of changes on solutions and business processes, and partners with global business and IT stakeholders to resolve issues and define end-to-end processes. It also supports regulatory audits, operational efficiency improvements, and additional system functionality. The position is located in San Diego, California.

Requirements

• 12 or more years of SAP experience, including extensive SAP GTS implementation and solution architect experience.
• Experience as a functional lead with demonstrated ability to work across teams.
• Experience implementing SAP GTS with various deployment options.
• Strong exposure to SAP GTS, Broker Interface, and integration with EHS, EWM, and TMS modules.
• Experience creating GTS master data and configuring SPL and embargo checks.
• Proficiency in interface development, including RFC, ALE, IDoc, and Web Services.
• Extensive experience in analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation.
• Knowledge of system enhancements and configuration, with IT leadership experience handling SAP GTS projects.
• Strong influencing, facilitation, and consulting skills with stakeholders at all organizational levels and across departments.
• Typically requires at least 12 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Advise on standard SAP GTS solution design and configuration, including the impact of changes on solutions and business processes.
• Collaborate with Global Process Owners, Global Trade Compliance, Global Process Leads, Solution Design Leads, and Value Stream Leads on process design recommendations and issue resolution.
• Identify and implement business process improvements.
• Work with global supply chain and IT teams to evaluate support requests.
• Gather and analyze requirements to determine the best solution.
• Provide routine updates to the global team about upcoming enhancements, bug fixes, and improvements supporting regulatory audits, efficiency, and additional functionality.
• Stay current with SAP technology, particularly S/4 HANA GTS E4H.
• Lead and influence cross-functional teams to improve processes and communications in support of business initiatives.
• Escalate decision-making requirements and process choice points to Global Process Owners and IT Leads.
• Articulate or demonstrate SAP GTS solutions and deliver high-quality outcomes, including under tight timelines.
