About The Position

The Home Depot Canada’s Creative & Production team is looking for a Sr. Specialist, Social Content & Creative Production to help engage Quebec customers through market-relevant storytelling and strategic, social-first content creation. Reporting to the Manager, Creative Production, this highly hands-on role will support and execute the creative direction for The Home Depot Quebec brand, developing platform-native content that resonates with customers and reflects the pace and culture of social. Working closely with the creative production team, brand team, stores and key partners, this role will translate briefs, insights and business priorities into clear, compelling and culturally relevant stories. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will own and manage the content pipeline end-to-end—from ideation and planning to filming, editing and publishing—while bringing a strong creator mindset, comfort in front of the camera, and an instinct for what performs on organic social.

Requirements

  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written (must be able to communicate with people outside Quebec)
  • Experience in marketing, content creation, photography, videography, advertising, production or project management
  • Proven experience copywriting and video editing for social media
  • Ability to contextually translate English social content for a Quebec French market
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite, Canva and/or other creative tools
  • Experience creating and editing video content (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar tools)
  • Experience working with data asset management systems
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; works well in ambiguity
  • Teamwork, strong customer service and an ability to build relationships across all levels
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines
  • Experience with video and/or photo production (pre & post) and knowledge of digital and social creative best practices
  • Strong creative communication skills; resourceful, organized, detail-oriented and comfortable creating content on-camera
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License and access to a car required.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end development of organic social content for The Home Depot Quebec across platforms (Meta, TikTok, etc.), from ideation through to final delivery.
  • Concept, shoot, edit and publish short-form video, photo and UGC-style content that is platform-native, on-brand and culturally relevant to Quebec audiences.
  • Translate national market briefs, campaign priorities and audience insights into French-language content and cohesive creative concepts tailored to the Quebec market.
  • Write and adapt captions, headlines and in-video copy, ensuring a consistent, engaging and brand-aligned voice across all content.
  • Maintain and execute against the master content calendar, ensuring content aligns with business priorities and is delivered accurately and on time.
  • Stay on top of social, cultural and retail trends, applying relevant learnings and instincts to continuously improve content quality and resonance.
  • Support day-to-day community engagement across social platforms during business hours, responding in a timely, brand-aligned and conversational tone.
  • Engage with positive comments, DMs and tagged content; re-share relevant UGC and participate in ongoing brand conversations.
  • Partner with internal teams to support influencer and UGC initiatives that strengthen engagement and community presence.
  • Contribute to real-time content capture and engagement during events or in-store moments where relevant.
  • Support and participate in photo and video shoots, including organizing, directing and contributing on-set as needed.
  • Lead day-to-day project management of content and campaign production, including timelines, briefs, scripts, product coordination and cross-functional workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies on campaign ideation and development, contributing a strong social and creator lens.
  • Translate creative briefs into clear production plans, timelines and deliverables, guiding projects from concept through to final delivery.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to inform future content and creative development, contributing to ongoing improvement of creative output.
  • Support creative review and approval processes prior to final deployment.

  • Occasional travel locally for video and photo shoots including but not limited to Home Depot store locations.
  • Travel to The Home Depot Store Support Centre in Toronto (bi-annual to quarterly dependant).
  • May require overnight travel (Range 5 - 10% depending on business needs)
  • Ability to participate in casting, wardrobe, and post-production reviews.
  • Ability to be on-set with anticipated longer periods of standing as sometimes necessary.
  • Comfortable being on and speaking to camera.
  • Field, retail schedule, may require some nights & weekends (5-10%)
  • Weekly onsite in-store for filming and occasional additional locations for commercial shoots.
