About The Position

Let’s be real, AI isn’t magic; Legion was built to move beyond AI hype—delivering secure, reliable systems that work alongside the people tackling the world’s most critical challenges. Born from a DoW partnership and trusted by leaders across government and enterprise, Legion embeds intelligence inside complex systems, unlocking data, accelerating human workflows, and strengthening mission-critical systems. We don’t replace workflows; we optimize them, ensuring quality, efficiency, and reliability inside the platforms our partners already use. With world-class collaborators like Palantir, Nvidia, HPE, and Oracle, we’re building intelligent infrastructure that enhances human capability and drives impact at the edge and across a range of enterprises. We’re looking for bold thinkers and doers to join us in shaping the future of AI that’s secure, grounded, and built to work. Due to Government contract requirements, we are only able to hire US citizens or Green Card holders. This position requires a US Department of Defense or Intelligence SECRET clearance or higher. We’re seeking a Solutions Architect to showcase the power of our Generative AI platform to prospective customers and partners in the US Department of Defense. In this role, you’ll architect and implement proofs of concept (POCs) that demonstrate the measurable impact Legion Intelligence can deliver to operations, critical workflows, and reporting processes. You’ll educate customers and prospects on how Legion’s AI capabilities improve data management, intelligence accuracy, and operational efficiency, while addressing common concerns such as hallucinations, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. Internally, you’ll act as the voice of the customer, translating domain challenges into actionable product insights to help shape the evolution of Legion Intelligence’s offerings for military applications. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that bridges pre-sales, product development, and customer success, requiring both technical fluency and business acumen.

Requirements

  • An active US Department of Defense or Intelligence SECRET or TS/SCI clearance (no polygraph required).
  • 4+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering or solutions architecture, ideally serving government clients.
  • Ability to understand and translate AI capabilities for DoD applications, such as data classification, and regulatory compliance automation.
  • Proficiency with Python or similar scripting languages.
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows, including opportunities for automation and AI-driven optimization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a startup or fast-scaling technology environment.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with US Military
  • Experience designing AI or data automation solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-Sales Engagement: Partner with Sales and Mission Success teams to identify customer pain points and craft technical solutions that highlight Legion Intelligence’s value.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Establish trust with technical and business stakeholders, providing clear assessments of AI readiness, compliance implications, and expected mission impact.
  • Product Evangelism: Represent customer needs internally by sharing insights on operational workflows, system integration requirements, and emerging trends in AI adoption.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead pre-sales presentations, workshops, and demos, translating technical AI concepts into business impact for non-technical audiences.
  • Continuous Improvement: Relay feedback to engineering and product teams to refine features, improve model performance, and enhance user experience for specific use cases.
  • Willingness to travel 25% to customer locations, company events, and conferences.
  • Willingness to work regularly on site at customer locations in the Tampa Area.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to be at the forefront of enterprise AI adoption in one of the world’s most data-sensitive industries.
  • Work alongside experts in AI, data infrastructure, and enterprise sales.
