About The Position

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior UI Platform Engineer to lead the design and development of shared developer tooling for its next-generation front end. The UI Platform team builds the internal paved road that helps UI engineers scaffold, build, integrate, and ship code across the organization. As Product Groups migrate to the new UI, the team is consolidating developer tooling, build infrastructure, dependency management, and CI into a unified platform that teams can adopt independently. The role will establish module federation foundations, build pipelines, scaffolding, and automation used by UI teams at scale. It will also partner with UI Quality, UI Release, and Observability to provide a cohesive experience through a single CLI, and work with Product Group leads to migrate legacy tooling patterns. The position includes mentoring engineers and supporting platform adoption across the organization.

Requirements

  • Experience building shared frameworks, tooling, or platforms that engineers rely on day to day.
  • Strong knowledge of Vite and modern front-end build tooling, including diagnosing issues in the module graph.
  • Production experience with module federation or an equivalent microfrontend architecture at scale, including versioning, contracts, and runtime considerations.
  • Fluency in TypeScript, monorepo tooling such as Nx or Turborepo, and modern package management such as pnpm workspaces.
  • Experience designing fast, reliable GitLab CI pipelines that provide clear feedback when something breaks.
  • Experience automating dependency management with Renovate or similar tools and integrating security tooling such as SAST, SCA, or Snyk into developer workflows.
  • Experience establishing engineering standards adopted by autonomous teams and influencing senior engineers and leaders.
  • Meaningful use of AI to change engineering work, rather than treating it as a novelty.
  • Experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Playwright and modern browser testing tools integrated into CI as a fast, reliable signal.
  • Experience running Jenkins alongside modern CI during a platform migration.
  • Experience with ephemeral preview environments per merge request and the infrastructure automation behind them.
  • Familiarity with developer experience metrics such as DORA or SPACE and using them to guide tooling investment.
  • Experience with contract testing between federated remotes in a large distributed front end.

Responsibilities

  • Own module federation architecture that enables Product Groups to ship independent microfrontends into a shared UI shell while maintaining stable contracts, accurate versions, and reliable cross-team integration.
  • Lead shared Vite build and development-server tooling for local development and CI, including fast hot reload, reliable sub-package watch, and dependable cold starts.
  • Design and operate CI pipelines that build, verify, and publish UI packages across GitLab CI and Jenkins.
  • Develop and maintain a single CLI for scaffolding repositories, integrating them with module federation, running tests, and creating releases.
  • Integrate automated dependency management, security scanning, and AI-assisted upgrades into the developer platform.
  • Shift linting, type checks, build validation, and contract checks into editors and pre-push hooks to help engineers identify problems earlier.
  • Coordinate with UI Quality, UI Release, and Observability to deliver a cohesive platform experience through a single CLI.
  • Partner with Product Group leads to migrate legacy build and tooling patterns and encourage adoption of the tooling strategy.
  • Mentor engineers on build tooling, module federation, and monorepo patterns, and provide code reviews.
  • Build ephemeral environments and merge-request preview deployments so engineers can evaluate changes before merging.
