Sr. Software Engineer

KLA•Milpitas, CA

About The Position

KLA’s Film and Scatterometry Technology division develops metrology solutions for advanced semiconductor manufacturing, measuring film thickness, critical dimensions, composition, and resistivity. The Sr. Software Engineer will develop and enhance Windows desktop applications used for spectral analysis, optimization, recipe development, and measurement validation in semiconductor manufacturing metrology tools. The role works closely with algorithm and application engineers to deliver robust, high-performance, user-friendly engineering software for yield improvement. The engineer will analyze requirements with stakeholders and domain experts, design features and workflows before implementation, build interactive data visualizations, and connect frontend components with backend computation libraries. The position also includes using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development, refactoring, and code reviews; writing maintainable, testable code; resolving defects; and contributing to code reviews and improved development practices.
