Sr Software Engineer - FrontEnd or FullStack (AI Product Eng teams)
About The Position
Eightfold is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its AI-powered Talent Management product team. The role focuses on building web applications and product features for millions of users. The engineer will own the technical design and execution of medium-to-large projects, collaborating with product managers, designers, and technical leads. The position works across a modern React frontend and backend services, including REST APIs, AWS Lambda services, and the Solr search platform. The engineer will help design, build, and ship performant, reliable, and scalable product features and user experiences, using technologies across Eightfold’s stack and applying AI technologies to usable interfaces. This is a hybrid role based in Santa Clara, California. Employees residing near the Santa Clara office are expected to work in the office twice a week. The posted Zone A base salary range is USD $135,700–$181,000 annually, with a discretionary bonus of up to 15% and pre-IPO equity. Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience building and shipping end-user-facing frontend UI features.
- A history of developing code for high-performance production applications.
- Strong coding and technical design skills.
- Understanding of fundamental computer science algorithms and concepts.
- Experience with React or other modern frontend technologies such as VueJS or NextJS.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies including hooks, modern CSS, and TypeScript.
- Comfort with full-stack product development.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for simple, scalable, performant, and attractive user interfaces.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, learn and share ideas, consider why a feature should be built, and take ownership of products.
Nice To Haves
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience with SaaS and AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Knowledge or experience with relevant technologies in the listed tech stack, including Python, Flask, SQL, Bash, React, Redux, JavaScript, TypeScript, Webpack, JSON, Apache Spark, Solr, MySQL, Docker, and AWS services.
- Interest in applying AI technologies to usable interfaces.
