CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. Its sensor is a driver installed on client machines that observes system activity, recognizes malicious behavior, provides on-device prevention, and sends telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The cloud aggregates and correlates sensor telemetry across customer networks and presents prioritized threat summaries to operations teams. This senior software engineering role is on the CTIO team, which is developing integrated AI capabilities for the next-generation sensor across macOS, Linux, and Windows. The role designs and develops endpoint AI features, operationalizes machine-learning models inside the sensor, builds data pipelines for sensor telemetry used in model training, evaluation, and on-device inference, and integrates these capabilities with core sensor features. Work spans operating-system subsystems such as file systems, memory, processes, and networking, often using shared components across platforms. The team follows Agile development principles and ships frequently. The CTIO team defines and executes CrowdStrike’s technology vision and strategy, drives innovation, and oversees the development and evolution of the Falcon platform. The position collaborates with sensor development teams across the company and with geographically distributed cross-functional teams. It owns features from initial design through delivery, including sprint-end product demonstrations, and provides guidance for cross-platform software design and implementation.
