Position Summary: Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Sr. Software Development Engineer to design and develop enterprise software applications and platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- Five (5) years of experience in each of the following: Software development lifecycle (SDLC); CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps; Java, Python, or Node.js; XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript; Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles; REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs; Oracle; JIRA, Rally, or Confluence; Writing application code and deploying to production; Developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions; and Agile productivity tools and leading incremental software releases
Responsibilities
- Develop software solutions to meet business requirements and manage project execution to ensure adherence to schedule and scope
- Determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation
- Plan stages of application development to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Write and review high quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing
- Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems
- Monitor progress milestones and deliverables
- Support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices
- Mentor junior team members
