Aetna Resources, LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Hartford, CT: Sr. Software Development Engineer to design and develop digital software applications and platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation
- Five (5) years of experience with Java, Python, or Node.js
- Five (5) years of experience with COBOL and JCL
- Five (5) years of experience with IBM DB2, Oracle, or Hibernate
- Five (5) years of experience with SQL, MS Access, or MS Excel
- Five (5) years of experience with Crystal Reports
- Five (5) years of experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Five (5) years of experience preparing high level designs, low level designs, test plans, and a complete project development plan
- Five (5) years of experience providing the estimations for enhancement and maintenance requests for applications
- Five (5) years of experience in Technical Design of the business requirements
Responsibilities
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements
- Determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation
- Upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Write and review high quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing
- Support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices
- Mentor junior team members
