About The Position

As a Sr. Software Development Engineer, you will partner with engineering, product, and design teams in a fast-paced, agile environment to transform ideas into applications that directly impact the experience of CVS Health teams and patients. Using modern methodologies and open-source tools, you will help push the boundaries of development.

Requirements

6+ years of experience building large consumer-facing products using Ruby or Java/Kotlin.
Experience working in a distributed, cloud-based environment using Azure or AWS with Docker/Kubernetes.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude to improve productivity and code quality.
Experience with unit and integration testing.
Experience building cloud-native, scalable microservices.
Experience working with MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment.
US work authorization.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant degree/work experience.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Ruby, GraphQL, AWS DevOps, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
Experience with modern front-end technologies such as React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and full-stack development patterns.
Strong understanding of observability and using telemetry to inform decision-making.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements.
