About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist in Stromal Immunology to be fully lab based at our Company's Cambridge location. Join our Immunology team in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and help shape the future of treatments for inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. In this role you will evaluate and apply novel experimental approaches, partnering across departments with discovery teams to implement cutting-edge laboratory technologies. You will drive the identification of innovative therapeutic targets and contribute directly to the development of new therapies and medicines that improve patient lives. We are seeking an enthusiastic scientist with a strong track record of delivering timely, robust data packages. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, able to design and execute their own experiments, and comfortable taking projects from conception through to clear, reproducible results. You should be proactive in problem-solving, able to communicate findings effectively to multidisciplinary teams, and committed to advancing research that leads to novel therapies and improved patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • B.Sc in Biological Sciences, Immunology, Pathology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or related STEM field with 7+ years of professional research experience, M.Sc. with 4+ years of professional research experience or PhD and 0+ years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of immunology and cell biology.
  • Experience with primary stromal cell cultures preferred
  • Practical experience in performing and analyzing complex multicellular systems
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data from key biological, biochemical and immunological assays systems and design appropriate follow up experiments
  • Knowledgeable in immunofluorescence microscopy / high-content imaging and multi-color flow cytometry preferred
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute experiments, analyze and interpret complex dataset to identify and validate novel targets in immunology/ inflammation/autoimmunity
  • Apply knowledge of key signal transduction pathways to design appropriate experiments
  • Be a key contributor in lab and in meetings to progress multiple programs
  • Conceptualize and enact innovative approaches (including novel technologies) to solve program objectives and issues
  • Manage project-specific milestones and timelines
