About The Position

The Senior Internal Owner SAP Compliance serves as the single point of contact for all IT General Controls (ITGC) related topics within the SAP landscape. This role acts as the application owner and central contact for the Xiting toolset, including XAMS and XCW, with XSP planned, and works closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure secure, compliant, and sustainable SAP access and authorization processes in a global SOX-regulated environment. The position is part of the Global SAP Team and requires a senior professional who can operate confidently across functions, regions, and audit-relevant processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • More than 5 years of hands-on professional experience in SAP security, with a strong focus on identity and access management in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
  • Proven practical experience with Xiting tools, especially XAMS and XCW; familiarity with XSP or experience supporting similar tool implementations is an advantage.
  • Deep understanding of general compliance requirements in a global enterprise environment subject to SOX regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP authorization concepts, role design, user provisioning, segregation of duties, privileged access, and compliance monitoring.
  • Experience working with IT General Controls (ITGC), internal controls, audit support, and remediation management.
  • Ability to translate compliance requirements into practical and sustainable SAP security processes and governance models.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across business and IT functions.
  • Structured, self-driven, and solution-oriented working style with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Fluent English communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Proven seniority in driving topics independently, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and representing SAP compliance matters in a global organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in global SAP environments with complex organizational structures and regulatory requirements.
  • Exposure to SOX audits, control testing, and audit evidence coordination.
  • Knowledge of SAP access governance, emergency access processes, and related compliance tooling.
  • Relevant certifications in SAP security, audit, compliance, or information security are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for all SAP ITGC-relevant topics, including logical access, access reviews, role design governance, segregation of duties, privileged access, and audit readiness.
  • Own and govern SAP compliance-related applications and processes, with a primary focus on SAP security and identity and access management in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
  • Serve as the application owner and subject matter expert for the Xiting tool landscape, especially XAMS and XCW, and support the planned introduction of XSP.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support control design, execution, documentation, evidence collection, and remediation activities for SOX and ITGC requirements.
  • Partner with business process owners, application owners, IT teams, and control owners to ensure SAP roles and authorizations follow the principles of least privilege and compliance-by-design.
  • Drive continuous improvement of SAP authorization concepts, access governance processes, and compliance monitoring across global operations.
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of policies, standards, and procedures related to SAP security, user provisioning, emergency access, and sensitive access management.
  • Analyze compliance risks and control gaps and define practical remediation actions in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance, communication, and training to business and IT contacts on SAP security and compliance expectations.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives related to SAP security transformation, automation, and control optimization in a global enterprise subject to SOX requirements.
