About The Position

This role is responsible for providing smart plans and effective sales activities to maximize hotel sales and revenues. The Sr. Sales Manager will participate in business reviews, revenue maximization strategies, and rate/space offerings. A key aspect of the role involves developing and maintaining relationships with key clients to generate group and/or leisure business, including room sales, food & beverage sales, and catering/banquet services. The position also collaborates on budget development for sales travel, trade shows, and entertainment, and coordinates with other hotel departments to ensure client services are met. The Sr. Sales Manager assists in developing hotel-level tactical sales plans and is expected to be involved in local industry groups and associations, as well as attend out-of-town conventions to generate business. This role serves as a member of the Management Team, working with other management personnel to establish and implement hotel service standards for maximum profitability. Employees are responsible for complying with all workplace health and safety requirements. Other duties, tasks, and special projects may be assigned.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or other related field
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a sales management position within a similar size, luxury brand hotel
  • Must be able to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, etc.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Responsibilities

  • Provide smart plans and effective sales activities to maximize the generation of hotel sales/revenues
  • Participate in business review, revmax, rate/space offering
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients (for self and small market team) in order to produce group and/or leisure business, to include room sales, food & beverage sales and catering/banquet services
  • Collaborate in the development of the sales team travel, trade show and entertainment budget/schedule
  • Coordinate with other hotel level departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients
  • Assist the DOSM/ADOS in developing hotel-level tactical sales plans to support overall system-wide sales plans/strategies and programs
  • Be involved in local industry groups and associations
  • Attend out-of-town conventions to generate group business
  • Collaborate with the DOSM/ADOS in the development of the hotel sales team business plan to include input on sales goals and actions that support the overall business and sales strategies of the company
  • Serve as a member of the Management Team and work with other management personnel to establish and implement hotel service standards to achieve maximum profitability
  • Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, including any department-specific training regarding equipment and procedures
  • Perform other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned

Benefits

  • The salary range for this role is $40.87 to $50.48.
