About The Position

Griffith Foods is hiring a Sr. Sales Manager to lead a team of five (5) sales professionals in achieving annual sales objectives in line with our Purpose-Driven Strategy. You will provide leadership to support the sales team in achieving profitable growth and Health & Nutrition growth (margin) objectives. Success in the role will ensure your team has the appropriate resources available to successfully execute objectives through focus on our total North American portfolio, core customer retention and acquisition customer assessment and engagement. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Food Science, or related Education requirement OR equivalent
  • At least 7 years’ experience in Sales or Business Development within Food, CPG, or Ingredients industry
  • At least 3 years’ experience in sales leadership and leadership.

  • 10 years demonstrated experience in food/beverage, CPG, and/or ingredient related B2B sales leadership team, emphasizing collaborative decision making and cross-functional alignment
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple customers and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide input in development and implementation of strategic plans to meet organizational goals.
  • Communicate customer requirements internally by collaborating with the QSR, Foodservice, Retail and Protein teams to lead opportunities across segments.
  • Actively participate in sales forecasting activities to support goals while still meeting customer requirements.
  • Working with the North American sales team, penetrate key customers by broadening the portfolio scope of products sold.
  • Supports execution of pricing strategy, including pricing action at key customers.
  • Evaluates product and service marketability in terms of customers’ needs.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
  • Aligns with marketing, customer service, R&D, culinary, sensory, insights, and others to ensure the broader team is focused and informed of key customer opportunities and challenges.
  • Making regular sales calls to develop and maintain relationships with strategic customers and the sales team.
