Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years combined sales and management in high volume major retailer or equivalent education/experience
  • Ability to motivate, lead and direct others
  • Solid understanding of product knowledge as it pertains to the furniture industry
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Interviewing, hiring, coaching, supervising, motivating, evaluating, scheduling and disciplining Sales Consultants
  • Identifying training and procedural needs to increase sales productivity; making recommendations to Store Manager and implementing necessary changes
  • Reviewing and analyzing sales reports to monitor the productivity level of Sales Consultants and ensuring that all budgeted sales goals are met
  • Responding to escalated customer service issues and resolving problems
  • Monitoring sales floor to ensure all guests are being assisted by sales personnel
