Sr. Sales Engineer

BigeyeRemote - United States,
$175,000 - $185,000

About The Position

Bigeye is on a mission to help enterprises trust their data and their AI. As organizations deploy AI agents and automated decision systems across their operations, the integrity of the data and models powering those systems has never mattered more. When data pipelines fail or AI inputs go unmonitored, the outputs become unreliable and ungoverned. That problem will only get harder to ignore as agents become the primary way enterprises get work done. Some of the world’s largest enterprises, including USAA, Zoom, Hertz, Cisco, and Freedom Mortgage, have moved to Bigeye’s AI Trust Platform to keep their mission-critical data and AI systems reliable and governed. Our platform combines data observability, data catalog and lineage, data classification, and the Agent Trust Hub, which gives teams an agent registry, data access mapping, and trust signals across data quality, classification, lineage, governance, ownership, and cost for every agent running in production. The scale of the opportunity is significant: we already check over 3 million data quality attributes and 3 trillion lineage assets every day for our customers, and are now giving enterprise teams visibility into which AI agents are active, what business data those agents are accessing, and whether that data can actually be trusted. Enterprise AI adoption is moving quickly, and most organizations have not yet worked out how to verify that their AI systems can actually be trusted. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be part of the Sales team at Bigeye - led by Bigeye’s VP of Sales and working alongside Bigeye’s Co-Founder/Field CTO. We are an experienced team that grasps how critical data is to the business, how the quality of data impacts informed-choice making, and the pressure data teams are under to deliver that high-quality data 24/7. As a small and nimble team where everyone is eager to help solve customer problems, we prioritize team accomplishments over individual contributions. You will never feel alone or stuck, and will have the whole strength of decades of experience with data and engineering behind you. In addition to this, you will work with Product and Engineering teams to serve both data and AI teams with Bigeye’s AI Trust Platform. In this role, you will work directly with data engineers, AI/ML engineers, data governance leads, and architects at our prospects, customers, and partner organizations. You will regularly be in rooms where data quality and AI governance are both on the agenda.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B SaaS Sales Engineering experience (level determined based on experience)
  • Working knowledge of Python, with comfort reading and debugging scripts and AI pipeline code
  • Ability to use AI tools to help accelerate building one-off demos and solutions, such as Claude Code, Cortex Code, Codex, etc
  • Working understanding of how AI agents are built and deployed in enterprise environments: how agents connect to business data sources, what frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or platform-native agents like Snowflake Intelligence and Databricks Genie look like in practice, and where data quality and classification issues create risk in those workflows.
  • Ability to speak credibly to AI governance and data trust concepts with both technical practitioners and business stakeholders, including how data lineage, classification, and observability apply in AI and agent contexts.
  • Desire to solve a problem once and then automate it

  • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks or emerging regulations (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, APRA CPS 230, or equivalent) and the ability to connect those requirements to Bigeye’s platform capabilities during a discovery or demo.
