Sr. Robotics Infrastructure Engineer

Anyware Robotics•Fremont, CA

About The Position

Anyware Robotics is seeking a hands-on senior individual-contributor to improve the infrastructure platform that runs AnywareOS, its modular industrial physical-intelligence system for general-purpose mobile manipulator robots. The role spans the release and deployment pipeline, the runtime on each robot, fleet management, web applications, and AI tooling. Success is measured by how quickly changes can be delivered safely to customer robots and how quickly field failures can be understood. The engineer will write production code daily and help deliver software used in customer deployments across logistics, retail, and manufacturing.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years building and operating production software infrastructure, including CI/CD, Docker, and AWS or GCP; ideally for physical, edge, or real-time systems.
  • Strong modern C++ and Python skills.
  • Linux system-level debugging and performance profiling experience.
  • Low-level systems knowledge, including IPC, networking, shared memory, and concurrency, with the judgment to identify latency and throughput bottlenecks.
  • Fluent use of AI-assisted development, including daily work with coding agents and critical review of their output.

Nice To Haves

  • Production experience with ROS 2 and DDS.
  • Experience with behavior trees (BT) and finite state machines (FSM) for robot task execution.
  • Web and backend service development experience.
  • Experience building products or workflows on LLM agents.
  • Infrastructure as code, secrets management, and SSO experience.
  • Fleet software delivery and device provisioning experience.
  • Robot data pipelines, ML pipelines, and observability stacks experience.
  • GPU software deployment on edge compute.
  • Robotics startup or warehouse automation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ship software to the robot fleet through CI/CD, Docker images, releases, and deployments across customer robots.
  • Profile and optimize robot services, middleware communication, and compute usage to make the on-robot runtime fast and predictable and meet cycle-time budgets.
  • Build the fleet management system, including cloud services that connect the fleet to customers' warehouse systems on secure AWS infrastructure defined as code.
  • Build data pipelines that bring robot data to the cloud and convert it into ML training data and fleet health monitoring.
  • Build the operator HMI on each robot and internal web tools used by engineers, operators, and field teams.
  • Build AI tools and agentic workflows that automate engineering and operations work across development, deployment, and field operations.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health insurance for the employee and family.
  • Flexible paid time off (PTO).
  • Paid sick leave.
  • 401(k) plan support.
  • Daily meal credit.
  • Meaningful equity may be available as additional compensation.
