About The Position

The Sr. Research Associate executes high-quality, end-to-end workflows on the Cellanome R3200 platform in support of large-scale data generation contracts. The role uses cell biology experience to process living cells through multi-day assays and molecular biology experience to convert those cells into sequencing-ready libraries. It reports to the Director, Assay Development.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in cell biology, molecular biology, or a related field.
At least 5 years of laboratory experience, including hands-on experience with cell culture techniques and assays.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
Experience with lab automation.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

Process samples end to end, including preparing and assessing cells, setting up and monitoring instrument runs, performing library preparation and quality control, and sequencing.
Follow standard operating procedures precisely and document steps, observations, and deviations in real time.
Support troubleshooting with the lab development and other internal teams.
Provide feedback and ideas to help improve existing processes.
Onboard and execute new processes transferred from the development team as the assay menu expands.
Follow laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
