Lead as a quality extended team member responsible for driving design, development, and implementation of testing methods and equipment. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Participate in risk management activities including system risk analysis (ISO14971), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, product risk assessments and assessing specific product issues for impact to patient and/or user safety. Participate in design reviews for the system as well as review and approve design input/design output artifacts including requirements, design documents, test results, verification and validation reports. Develops, coordinates and conducts technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and design of experiments (DOE) constructs. Recommends design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards. As necessary, proposes changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability. May determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing, and specifies minimum number of samples to obtain statistically valid data.

Requirements

  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • The employee is regularly required to be independently mobile.
  • The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with peers and co-workers.
