About The Position
CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Reliability Engineer to join our Asset Management Team in Albany, NY. In this role, you will help transform how facilities operate by advancing reliability-centered maintenance approaches, optimizing asset lifecycle performance, and strengthening the systems that keep operations running efficiently. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required
- Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
- Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced judgment and analytical expertise to support complex asset reliability strategies, technical assessments, specifications, and contract documentation for manufacturing and industrial systems
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of reliability and asset management initiatives with cross-functional engineering teams and project management staff
- Monitor asset performance, system reliability, and project execution to drive operational efficiency and reduce unplanned downtime across critical facilities
- Deliver reliability and asset management solutions within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting cost-effective, sustainable, and high-performing operations
- Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff, supporting the development of asset management best practices and reliability-focused methodologies
