About The Position

U.S. Bank Relationship Bankers build face-to-face customer relationships and provide guidance based on customers’ banking needs, goals, and channel preferences. They obtain and process customer and account information, educate clients about deposit and loan products and services, and recommend financial solutions. The role also involves originating and closing consumer loans, opening accounts, and opening and/or closing the branch. This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. Registration includes a criminal background and credit check; failure to meet or maintain registration requirements may result in withdrawal of an offer or termination of employment. The role requires working from a U.S. Bank location on all scheduled work days.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Typically, five or more years of job-related retail banking experience, or a combination of experience and commensurate training.
Must obtain and maintain NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, including satisfying the required criminal background and credit checks.

Responsibilities

Build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up, learning clients’ financial needs and banking channel preferences.
Identify solutions for new and existing clients by engaging and communicating effectively with them.
Maintain working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital products and services.
Provide an optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to serve clients.
Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications.
Educate clients proactively about emerging and self-service digital products and services.
Use available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and provide accurate, operationally excellent service.
Originate and close consumer loans.
Open and/or close the branch.
