The role reports to the Global Program Senior Director for the Pain Interventions business and involves independent and collaborative work within HEPR and cross-functional teams to ensure patient access to Medtronic therapies throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Provide reimbursement-related advice to product development, marketing, sales, regulatory, clinical, and business teams, including input on product strategy, indication expansion, evidence needs, and launch readiness.
  • Evaluate the reimbursement environment in the United States and relevant global geographies to support new product development, product launches, indication expansions, and ongoing portfolio management.
  • Work closely with HEPR colleagues to identify and address coding, coverage, and payment issues, and provide timely support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct periodic analyses of Medicare regulations, commercial payer policies, coding developments, and other reimbursement changes; communicate implications and recommended actions clearly to the appropriate audiences.
  • Assist with developing strategies and draft comments for advocacy with CMS and commercial payers, as appropriate, and identify opportunities to enhance payment and access for Pain Interventions therapies.

  • Translate complex clinical, technical, coding, coverage, and payment information into clear, accurate, and actionable content for non-experts and cross-functional partners.
  • Design and implement internal and external reimbursement communications, tools, resources, and content guided by the Medtronic brand and overall business strategy.
