About The Position

BJC is hiring for a Reimbursement Specialist. This is a remote position. We are looking for applicants with Medicare cost reporting experience. The Cost Reimbursement department continuously improves the reimbursement process for BJC HealthCare. This role is responsible for third-party reimbursement with responsibilities for cost report review, fiscal intermediary interaction, regulatory review, and system-wide analyses involving third-party reimbursement. The Senior Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for the preparation of third-party cost report filings. Working under minimal supervision, this position is also responsible for financial reporting, financial analysis, and reimbursement analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Business/related
• 2-5 years of experience
• Medicare cost reporting experience

• 5-10 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Prepares and submits third-party cost reports and other required filings.
• Coordinates the third-party payer audit process, including the review and analysis of proposed adjustments.
• Prepares and reviews the differential calculations, including balance sheet and income statement analysis.
• Performs analysis of current and proposed third-party regulations to assess financial impact.
