Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business Development, Behavioral Health or related field with 7 years of supervisory and program development experience required.
  • Independent license in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family, or Substance Abuse recognized by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Heals Examiners preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Current, unrestricted AZ driver’s license with no more than two (2) minor moving violations or one (1) accident within the past three (3 years). Three (3) years of driving experience required.
  • Transportation for daily visits, to attend trainings, and perform other work-related activities. Organizational vehicles may not be available at all times.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check prior to employment and regular checks for the duration of the employment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an AZ DPS Level 1 fingerprint clearance card (employer provides).
  • CPR and First Aid certification (Employer provides).
  • Satisfactorily Completed Competency Checklist within 3 months of hire.
  • Knowledge in development and quality management, including research, planning, and data collection.
  • Working knowledge of planning, organizing, and coordinating multiple program development activities.
  • Must know differential diagnosis and clinical intervention for children, families, and adults.
  • Excellent writing and reviewing clinical documentation.
  • Ability to support staff addressing a wide variety of clinical needs.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with community and state agencies.
  • Skills in personnel management and supervision.
  • Using basic management information systems.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Experience analyzing budgets and revenue.
  • Able to establish and maintain a team atmosphere of communication and collaboration for all that reach out to the Department.

Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision and oversight of the BH outpatient clinics including training and supervision of program staff to ensure quality behavioral health services are provided to the community.
  • Develops programing with input from stakeholders, utilizes best practice models in serving children, families, and adults, and integrates them into the existing BH outpatient clinics in the region.
  • Works in partnership with the Quality Improvement team in evaluating programs and adjusting program delivery based on evaluation.
  • Oversees clinic operations, ensuring that they comply with AHCCCS, health plans, private insurance plans, and state contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Networks with stakeholders and develops strategic partnerships to promote growth in the region. Researches and assists with grant and contract opportunities.
  • Analyzes clinical data to create programming to promote growth of different populations and funding streams.
  • Monitors service provision to ensure clinical staff are documenting all direct clinical services in the Electronic Health Record and are therefore meeting productivity requirements.
  • Manages the behavioral health budget of the assigned site by monitoring expenses, hiring, and productivity. Assists the Chief Clinical Officer and Finance Department in developing annual budgets, ensuring that expense allocations are accurate and updated as needed.
  • Provides assessment and clinical evaluation as needed for children, families and adults with complex mental health needs. Coordinate service provision and collaboration with community stake holders, other BH providers, and members participating in ART and CFT meetings.
  • Assists site supervisors in developing new clinical programming addressing gaps in the community.
  • Ensure assessment, planning, and implementation of clinical interventions.
  • Provide clinical supervision for staff working towards licensure.
  • Provide a broad range of administrative and supervisory functions. Supervises assigned staff in accordance with EBF personnel practices including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and day to day scheduling. Participates in the process of ongoing professional development. Maintains comprehensive communication among all contacts within the agency, members, and external agencies. Models professional standards and ethics in accordance with EBF Code of Conduct, Strategic Plan, Mission, and Vision.
