About The Position

This is a remote, full-time role with periodic travel to project sites and company meetings. Reporting to the President / Executive Management, the Sr. Rebar Estimator/Detailer will do more than prepare quantity takeoffs: they will serve as a technical resource for estimating, project management, and operations, and help establish the company’s estimating standards, production rates, historical cost database, and reinforcing-steel preconstruction process. The successful candidate will bring substantial hands-on reinforcing-steel industry experience, preferably with a rebar fabricator, reinforcing contractor, placer, or major concrete contractor. They must be able to independently review structural drawings and specifications, perform reinforcing-steel takeoffs, develop labor and material pricing, understand detailing requirements, identify constructability issues, and advise management on project cost and risk. The role also supports preconstruction and project operations, develops estimating and detailing processes, mentors junior team members, and may eventually assume responsibility for the company’s reinforcing-steel estimating/detailing function. A formal college degree is not required when the candidate has substantial relevant industry experience.
