Reporting to the Sr. Director – Global Quality. This individual will lead the integration of reliability & robustness in New Product Development as well as drive warranty reduction task force using structured approach problem solving. This individual will also be responsible on continuously improving the Oshkosh Quality Management System standards, procedures and processes and be the point person for all Quality integration in Product Development. YOUR IMPACT Drive process capability, stability, and control through the deployment of robust manufacturing quality systems, including PFMEA, control plans, and continuous improvement methodologies, with a focus on risk reduction and improving First Pass Yield (FPY). Identify and eliminate process variation to reduce risk, improve First Pass Yield (FPY), decrease defects, and enhance overall manufacturing performance and operational efficiency. Serve as the highest level of escalation within the assigned quality workstream, providing decisive leadership to resolve complex, high-impact issues and ensure timely containment and sustainable resolution. Lead the APQP process in the manufacturing launch activities Ensure all quality manufacturing quality activities PFMEA, Control Plans and Reaction plans are institutionalized and are being fully integrated as part of the manufacturing launch activities. Provide hands on coaching and training on PFMEA, Control Plans & manufacturing APQP Create training plan and implementation of hands-on training for the manufacturing team Lead and train the manufacturing team on a structured approach to problem solving utilizing 8D and Six Sigma disciplines Develop and institutionalize best practice quality tools within manufacturing. Provide strategic guidance to manufacturing quality

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years in related work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Reliability Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Preferred Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt)
  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
  • Solid business acumen
  • Demonstrated hands on Design for Reliability, Design for Robustness or Design For Six Sigma experience
  • Demonstrated experience in deploying quality breakthrough in New Product Development Process
  • Results-oriented, strong analytical skills, and demonstrated process improvement success in managing large teams in a continuous improvement culture.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the business (senior leaders to working teams); exceptionally good listening skills; able to present complex or new ideas with clarity and simplicity
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills that build productive relationships and influences others, both within the business and across organizations
