About The Position

AECOM has a need for an on-site Sr. Quality Assurance Construction Inspector to support the US Army Corps of Engineers on various construction projects in Hanscom Air Force Base in Lincoln, Massachusetts. This role provides oversight of construction to ensure compliance with contract requirements and standards, including evaluation of inspection and testing procedures, documentation of deficiency correction in accordance with the USACE 3-Phase inspection program. The inspector will complete and maintain records of field observations, including daily reports and field measurements in the RMS, document observations and inspections with discrepancy notices, attend construction progress meetings, perform infrastructure walk-throughs, develop punchlists, provide construction photographs, attend contractor's weekly project meetings, and participate in tests, demonstrations, and field instructions.

Requirements

  • HS + 10 Years of relevant experience in construction practices, procedures, and testing, to include three (3) years of quality control management of DoD construction projects.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background checks.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of construction QA/QC processes, including the three phases of control (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-Up).
  • Familiarity with contract documentation, including RFIs, submittmits, schedules, change orders, and progress payment evaluations.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting inspections, witnessing testing, and interpreting third-party test results.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and documentation systems (e.g., Procore, RMS, or similar platforms).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of detailed daily reports and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently on-site while coordinating effectively with Government stakeholders and contractors.
  • Experience supporting project closeout activities, including punch list management and final inspections.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required to support project completion.

Responsibilities
