About The Position

JV Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join their Quality team. This role involves inspecting manufactured parts, tools, and components to ensure they meet blueprints, engineered drawings, sketches, and specifications. The inspector will verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances, and use precision measuring equipment. They will also identify and document non-conforming parts, collaborate with other departments to resolve quality concerns, and maintain accurate inspection documentation. The position emphasizes helping production move forward without compromising quality and participating in continuous improvement efforts. Direct Quality Assurance experience is not required; mechanical aptitude, manufacturing knowledge, and a willingness to learn are highly valued.

  • Tool & die experience or experience in a related skilled trade.
  • Education or training in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting manufactured parts, tools, and components using blueprints, engineered drawings, sketches, and specifications.
  • Verifying dimensions, alignments, clearances, and other print requirements.
  • Using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, drop micrometers, gauge blocks/pins, indicators, comparators, and other inspection tools.
  • Determining the best inspection method and proper measuring equipment for each part.
  • Using or learning equipment such as CMMs, vision systems, and contour tracers.
  • Identifying and documenting parts that do not meet specifications through Nonconformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Working with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and other Quality team members to resolve questions or quality concerns.
  • Completing inspection documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Helping keep production moving without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
  • Participating in training, cross-training, and continuous improvement efforts.
