About The Position
Property tax administration over a specific geographic area or group of company assets.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in property tax
- Bachelor's degree required; a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong Communication, Analytical and Critical Thinking skills, both written and oral
- Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines; detail oriented
- Strong computer skills – Microsoft Excel and Word
Nice To Haves
- Self Starter with complex properties
- skills in PTMS and database understanding a plus
- Overnight travel to some degree
Responsibilities
- Collect and process data necessary for completing and filing personal property renditions
- Monitor and evaluate both real and personal property assessments
- Manage select team players
- Prepare and file property tax appeals and attend hearings
- Correspond and negotiate with local assessment officials to ensure reasonable assessments
- Review and process payment requests for property tax bills
- Assist in annual property tax forecasts and annual budget
- Research property tax laws and legal decisions
- Special projects as assigned
