This position is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and you need to be willing to relocate to Puerto Rico or currently live in Puerto Rico to be considered. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience
  • Experience supporting electrical utilities in some capacity

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electrical utility construction projects
  • Experience managing Federally funded projects
  • Ability to coordinate work scope with multiple work groups or contractors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, P6 or Microsoft Project
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and analytically, apply sound judgement, and proactively prevent and solve problems
  • Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills in fast-paced environments internally and externally

Responsibilities

  • Manage all high-level project controls and administrative responsibilities across the project.
  • Oversee project documentation and compliance with DOE requirements.
  • Coordinate project activities with Engineering, Construction, Operations, Procurement, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain project governance documentation.
  • Prepare and update monthly forecasts, track expenditures, commitments, variances, and financial trends.
  • Support change requests and DOE financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain the overall DOE P8 schedule by identifying critical path, delays, and dependencies.
  • Issue bi-weekly schedule updates.
  • Coordinate all RFIs and RFRs across workstreams, maintain the log, ensure deadlines are met and follow up with responsible areas.
  • Prepare weekly reports for DOE’s visibility.
  • Create monthly internal status reports.
  • Support documentation for audits, compliance, and data requests.
  • Lead weekly and monthly coordination meetings with stakeholders, prepare agendas and ensure follow-through of action items.
